Foam "Sofa cushioning"
The key material in the production of a high-quality sofa is foam. It is actually flexible polyurethane foam (abbreviated as PU foam), a type of plastic with a cellular (porous) structure that consists of 97% closed cells filled with air.
Different types of foam are produced, and the differences between them are the density, softness, and weight of each type. Every different type has a numerical designation indicating its specific density and firmness.
At the “Siyana Mebel” furniture factory, we use one of the highest-quality foams on the market for our seat cushions, in order to achieve maximum comfort and convenience in our products.
We purchase foam in blocks and have machines that cut these blocks into the components we use. This allows us to monitor and control the quality of the foam.
We use one type of foam for the seating areas and another type for softening our sofas. It is very important to know that in high-class upholstered furniture, the sofa should be softened throughout (backrest, armrests, front panels, etc.). It is not acceptable to feel a hard base anywhere on the sofa.
