Wood in the production of a high-quality sofa is one of the most important components. It is used to reinforce sofa frames and to manufacture the structures or seat frames of sofas. Therefore, it is very important to select the highest-quality wood material for this purpose.

1. The material is only spruce – Picea abies.
In Bulgaria, there is only one species of spruce, the common spruce (Picea abies), usually found on the northern slopes of mountains, as it requires constant soil and air humidity.
The biggest problem when choosing solid wood is knots. Every knot is a weak point in a wooden component. To avoid breaking of the parts, we order components only from spruce, as this type of wood has very few knots.
2. The second requirement is the exact moisture level of the material.
If wooden components are too dry, they crack and split very easily. If they are too moist, after assembly there is a high risk of mold formation, and if the sofa remains packaged for a longer period, the other components may also become affected by moisture.
For this purpose, we work with companies equipped with special drying chambers that dry the wood to a moisture level between 9% and 12%, which is ideal for upholstered furniture production.
